Take Over School Day November 2018

On Friday, lots of staff put their feet up and let the children do the hard work because it was Take Over School Day! Children could be spotted doing jobs like Headteacher, Maintenance Worker, Office Administrators and even teaching the classes. WOW!

A range of activities were on offer which everyone approached with enthusiasm. The Office Staff answered the telephone, organised the school dinner numbers and sorted out some much needed stationery. Headteachers were kept very busy - from leading assembly, to doing a health and safety walk around and checking on the learning in school. Maintenance Staff swept up leaves and collected apples - which were eaten by the children.  Kitchen Staff made sure the tables were clean and the floor swept in time for lunch. The hardest workers were probably the teachers who had planned the lessons the day before, taught their lessons and now have marking to do!

All in all, everyone really enjoyed the day - but wished it could have lasted for longer!

Researched and written by Miss Edita and Mr Liam - 2 of our 6 headteachers!

Take a look at some of the photographs of the day.
